First impressions of Gent

I went to Gent to look for an apartment and take care of paperwork for my postdoc last week. I have to admit I was a little apprehensive, weary of starting again once more. But I left enchanted with the city! I'll leave with some pictures so you can attest to the beauty of the city and maybe think of visiting me during this next year.




My trip was totally worth it! I found an apartment full of Belgian charm! I promise to post some pictures when I have a little more furniture after moving to Gent on Oct 2nd. I was also in the lab and settled in my postdoc desk:) Half of my books were there waiting for me already.

Now I am in Lisbon to some regrouping before starting the next big adventure:) but I promise more posting after Oct 2nd.

To all my friends in the US so long, I will miss you, but I know I will come visit and you should come visit to...

To all my friends at home in Portugal, I will be only a low cost flight away:)
